Naughty. So, a new normal? The UK authorities needn't have dithered forever and could've just raided the Ecuadorian embassy to grab Assange.

Well the Mexicans are in breach of the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations. So they’re being naughty.

Ecuador might take action and expel some or all Mexican diplomats from Quito. But probably nothing more will come of it if Mexico doesn’t do it again.

Do you have your countries around the wrong way? This happened at the Mexican embassy in Quito.

I thought Assange was being quite hypocritical in going into the Ecuadorian Embassy, given that Ecuador does not respect many of the specific things he was protesting about by doing so. It particular, we now know Ecuador does not respect the sanctity of embassies, which makes his choice stranger still.

It also makes me wonder why Ecuador tolerated him squatting in their embassy for so long. They must have been pleased to annoy Britain or the US or something.
